Look after your kit.

Your VRTS apparel is designed for thousands of kilometres of riding. A little care goes a long way in maintaining its fit, comfort and performance.

Washing

After every ride

Sweat and body oils gradually break down technical fabrics. Wash your kit as soon as possible after riding.

  • Machine wash at 30°C
  • Wash inside out
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Use a gentle cycle
  • Fasten all zips before washing
  • Wash bib shorts and jersey separately from garments with velcro or rough fabrics where possible

Avoid

  • Fabric softener
  • Bleach
  • Biological detergents
  • Dry cleaning
  • Tumble drying
  • Ironing

These reduce the elasticity, breathability and moisture management of technical fabrics.

Drying

Hang dry naturally.

Avoid:

  • Direct sunlight for prolonged periods
  • Radiators
  • Heated airers
  • Tumble dryers

Heat is the quickest way to shorten the life of performance fabrics and elastic.

Ride more.
Wash less?

Bib shorts should ideally be washed after every ride to keep the pad hygienic and performing at its best.

Storage

Store your kit somewhere cool and dry.

Avoid leaving it:

  • Wet inside a kit bag
  • In a hot car
  • Folded while damp

Chamois care

Your Elastic Interface chamois is designed for long-distance comfort.

To maximise its lifespan:

  • Wash after every ride
  • Avoid fabric conditioner
  • Allow it to dry completely before storing

Lifetime

With proper care your VRTS apparel is designed to perform for many seasons.

Crash replacement

Crashes happen. We've got you.

If your VRTS kit is damaged in a crash, we'll offer you 20% off a replacement garment.
